Spentry Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of Spentry, named as its seller on the App Store ("we"), about using Spentry: the iPhone app and the service behind it. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app itself. If the two conflict on the license to the app, Apple's agreement prevails.
1. Who can use Spentry
You must be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live sets a higher age for using online services on your own, you need a parent's or guardian's permission until you reach it.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Apple. Keep your device and Apple Account secure: anyone who unlocks your app can see your trips.
- You can turn on the app passcode in Settings.
- One account is for one person.
3. Your content
- Ownership: you keep all rights to what you add: trips, expenses, notes and photos.
- What you allow us to do: to run Spentry, you allow us to store, copy, process and show your content:
- to you;
- to the members of trips you share it with;
- and, if you allow receipt reading and voice input, to send it to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Your responsibility: you are responsible for what you add. Don't add content that is illegal, or that infringes other people's rights. Don't add other people's personal data that you have no right to share.
- Removal: we may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules or the law.
4. Shared trips
- Joining: the organizer of a trip invites people with a link. A link works for 14 days, and the organizer can revoke it at any time.
- Visibility: everyone in a trip sees its expenses, notes, photos and members' names.
- The organizer: changes the trip's name, dates and cover, and can remove members.
- Leaving: any member can leave. What you added stays in the trip for the others.
- Deleting your account: see the Privacy Policy, section 7.
- Something wrong? If someone in a trip misuses it, remove them (if you're the organizer), leave the trip, or write to us at [email protected].
5. Exchange rates, AI reading and amounts
- Exchange rates come from a public source. They are filled in for information and may differ from the rate your bank or card applied. You can always set your own.
- AI reading: receipt reading and voice input use an AI model and can make mistakes. Check the amount, currency and date before relying on them.
- No financial services: Spentry records the expenses you enter. It doesn't make or receive payments, and it isn't financial, tax or accounting advice.
6. The service
- Offline use: Spentry saves your changes on your iPhone and syncs them when there's a connection.
- No guarantees:
- We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
- Export important trips (PDF or CSV) if you need a copy.
- Changes: we may change or discontinue features. If we shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.
7. Ending
- You: you can stop using Spentry and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete Account).
- Us: we may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or that put the service or other users at risk.
8. Liability
- What we don't answer for: to the extent the law allows, Spentry is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect losses, or for decisions you make based on the amounts or exchange rates in the app.
- Your statutory rights: nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date above. If the change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
